1 Cape Sundew Plant
The Cape Sundew, scientifically known as Drosera capensis, is a fascinating and carnivorous plant native to the Cape region of South Africa. The leaves of the Cape Sundew are covered in glandular hairs that secrete a sticky, mucilaginous substance. These glistening droplets, which resemble droplets of dew, attract and ensnare insects. The plant's movement is slow but responsive, and once an insect is caught, the surrounding tentacles gradually fold inwards to secure the prey.
