It is perennial, and will grow to 75cm high. Though used for medicinal purposes, it has highly toxic fruit, berries, seeds and leaves. The beautiful lantern-like flowers are often used for dried, as well as fresh, flower decorations. The plants are vigorous growers and are drought tolerant. Holding back on fertilizer, and keeping them in pots, will help reduce unwanted spreading. The plant is frost intolerant.
