Neptunia oleracea, or water mimosa, is a fast-growing, semi-aquatic perennial plant from the pea family (Fabaceae). It has buoyant, hollow stems covered in spongy tissue, sensitive pinnate leaves that fold when touched, and yellow pom-pom-like flowers. Native to tropical regions, it thrives in wetlands, ponds, and slow-moving water, often forming floating mats.
